Outreach Forum

Department of Labor

The U.S. Department of Labor in partnership with the El Paso Community College, the El Paso Society for Human Resource Management and The Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce will host a free Informational and Outreach Forum, with 90-minute workshops to assist employers and answer questions regarding workplace laws administered by DOL.

Prescription Card

As a member of the Greater El Paso Region, you and your family have access to a FREE Prescription Drug Card program graciously provided by the Greater Chamber.

POTENTIAL 3-SHARE PROGRAM
One of the top priorities of The Chamber's Three Share ProgramHealthcare Council has been to address the issue of the uninsured.  This program could open the door to employerswith 49 or fewer employees being able to provide health coverage to their employees. A three-share program divides the cost of the health coverage between the employer, the employee and a third source, typically from a government entity. Please help us to learn more about the needs by taking a survey.

Richard dayoubMayor Cook

U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano announced the formation of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) Southwest Border Task Force, a diverse group of national security experts charged with examining the Department’s efforts along the U.S.-Mexico border and providing advice and recommendations directly to the Secretary. Richard Dayoub and our Mayor John Cook are among the experts announced. Read more

CHAMBER CEO AND CHAIR-ELECT ATTEND ARMY WAR COLLEGE

Gus Rodriguez and Richard Dayoub were invited to attend the 55th Annual National Security Seminar, hosted by the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The week long program coincides with graduation week for the 336 students participating in the year long masters program in strategic studies.

Junior Leadership El Paso

Junior LeadershipJunior Leadership El Paso Class VI members are leaders of tomorrow, taking on an investment and interest in El Paso today!  The program is free to students and managed by volunteer committees made up of Leadership El Paso Class XXV alumni who conceived and developed the program.  Applications for Junior Leadership El Paso Class VII are currently being accepted.  Deadline to submit application is set for August 14, 2009.  Please inform the Junior in high school (Fall 2009) you know about our program and advise them to apply TODAY
